  • Help You Understand the Structural Composition and Application of Machine Tools
A complete set of numerical control (CNC) machine tools system usually consists of the following key parts: Information input and output devices, including disk drives, dedicated data interface devices, keyboards, computers, etc., are used for program entry, modification and transmission. The network connection system, including Ethernet interface, HSSB, processing local area network, RS-232C communication port and other industrial networks, is used to achieve communication and data sharing with external devices or systems. External mechanical axis control units, such as automatic table changing devices, loading and unloading robots, tool magazine drive axes, etc., are used to assist in the automatic switching and positioning of workpieces or tools during the processing. The feed servo drive and motor system controls the feed motion of the worktable or tool, ensuring high precision and stability. The spindle motor and drive unit provide the rotational power of the spindle and are the source of the cutting force during the machining process.  The numerical control unit, also known as the CNC controller or core control module, is responsible for converting the processing program into specific motion instructions and controlling the operation of each motion axis and actuating component. Programmable mechanical controllers are used to control auxiliary functions of machine tools, such as coolant opening, tool changing actions, door lock control, etc., to achieve automated process control. The position feedback and measurement system, including encoders, grating rulers and other equipment, is used for real-time monitoring and feedback of the position and status of each axis to ensure processing accuracy. The input and output units of control signals are integrated in the electrical control cabinet and are used to achieve signal interaction between the machine tool and various actuating components, such as sensor input, relay output, etc.   When purchasing CNC machine tools, multiple factors such as the type of enterprise, product process requirements, output, and factory power supply need to be comprehensively considered. The type of enterprise will directly affect the scale and functionality of the required equipment. A small processing workshop may only need a few basic CNC engraving machines. Large manufacturing enterprises, on the other hand, tend to choose multi-axis and high-efficiency compound machining centers. Different products have different requirements for processing methods. If the main production is for simple-structured parts, such as two-dimensional parts or basic contour parts, a three-axis machine tool can meet the requirements. Different products have different requirements for processing methods. If the main production is for simple-structured parts, such as two-dimensional parts or basic contour parts, a three-axis machine tool can meet the requirements. However, if the processing involves complex structures and multiple surfaces, five-axis machine tools or compound processing equipment should be given priority. They can complete the processing of multiple surfaces in one clamping, improving efficiency and reducing errors. Machine tools are bound to experience wear and tear or malfunction during long-term operation. Therefore, before purchasing, it is necessary to confirm whether the spare parts of the selected brand are easily accessible and whether the after-sales system is complete. This is directly related to maintenance efficiency and production interruption time. The hardness and properties of the processed materials directly determine the rigidity and precision requirements of the selected machine tool. When processing high-strength alloy steel, equipment with high rigidity and high stability should be selected. Ordinary low-carbon steel or aluminum alloy can be used with general-purpose CNC machine tools. CNC equipment usually has a large power supply, especially multi-axis equipment which generally needs to be connected to a three-phase power supply. Before purchasing equipment, it is necessary to confirm whether the power supply capacity of the factory building is sufficient to support the operation of new equipment to avoid power outages due to overload.

  • GLAB's Precision Machining Machine Tools Are about to Set Sail
A new chapter in intelligent manufacturing has begun. Recently, a batch of GLAB's next-generation intelligent centers was successfully loaded for shipment and has officially departed the company's facility bound for key industrial zones in Southeast Asia. This strategic delivery marks another milestone in GLAB's mission to support the global transition to localized, high-end equipment manufacturing. The machines will soon be deployed by international partners in the energy equipment sector, where they will take two core scenarios: batch processing of bearing housings for wind turbine main shafts and manufacturing of high-temperature resistant valve bodies used in geothermal drilling. However, both applications demand high structural integrity, thermal resilience, and extreme precision challenges that GLAB's equipment is purpose-built to handle. The machines integrate real-time condition monitoring, allowing them to autonomously adjust for variations in material properties, minimize thermal drift, and eliminate vibration-related interference during complex cuts. During the final acceptance testing phase, the equipment successfully completed the one-piece precision forming of high-complexity curved surfaces. The results met stringent technical standards, ensuring tight tolerances and perfect fit across a variety of components affirming GLAB’s capabilities in advanced intelligent machining.   This shipment represents more than just hardware it embodies the global transmission of innovative manufacturing concepts. Each unit is embedded with GLAB’s predictive maintenance systems, which enables real-time remote diagnostics. Overseas users can instantly share equipment health data in real time and collaborate with domestic technology centers to optimize process parameters, thus forming a closed loop for manufacturing capacity improvement across continents. As the cargo ship set sail, carrying these intelligent machines across the seas, it symbolized more than just a delivery. These machines are ambassadors of Chinese engineering, built to become the “precision guardians” of critical global industries and they will support localization of high-end equipment such as clean energy devices and aviation power units and advanced industrial automation.

  • Global Delegation Visits GLAB: A Glimpse into the Future of Intelligent Manufacturing
On July 26th, a delegation from a renowned South American industrial group visited GLAB's intelligent manufacturing base for a one-day technical exchange. The visit provided an in-depth look at GLAB's core processing technologies for heavy equipment manufacturing and resulted in a preliminary agreement for future joint development plan. Inside the workshop filled with state-of-the-art equipment, the delegation closely observed multiple advanced solutions tailored to complex manufacturing scenarios. A major highlight of the tour was the  demonstration of GLAB's five-axis linkage machining centers particularly in their role producing large shells for energy equipment. Through real-time dynamic compensation technology, these systems offer exceptional thermal stability when continuously processing high-temperature alloy component. This significantly enhances deformation control, solving one of the toughest challenges in long-cycle precision cutting of complex workpieces."This system is exactlythe kind of production line support we need," said a senior delegate. "It has the potential to redefine our entire manufacturing process." The global manufacturing landscape is undergoing a strategic transformation, with an increasing emphasis on supply chain resilience and technical exchange between GLAB and South American delegation aims to achieve two key breakthroughs - raising processing accuracy control standards under extreme tropical conditions such as  high-temperature and high-humidity environments, and the establishment of a continuous production within fluctuating range of the power grid. This collaboration not merely a business agreement it  represents a shared vision to co-develop a new intelligent manufacturing paradigm in emerging markets.   GLAB's strategy extends far beyond manufacturing excellence by  integrating intelligent technologies with real world industrial scenarios, the company is helping accelerate the transformation and modernization of the global manufacturing sector. Meanwhile, GLAB and the Brazilian Industrial Group will jointly explore green and sustainable production methods, build a cross-border technological collaborative innovation ecosystem, and lead the breakthrough development of new high-quality productive forces in the high-end equipment field. GLAB machine tools not only embody technical sophistication but also represent “Eastern wisdom” contributing to the future of global industrial progress.
